Sacramento!

So, the next chapter has arrived. After spending three years in Charleston,SC, the decision to head back to California was made. I cannot thank my clients in Charleston enough for being so amazing and allowing me to push myself and create so much whilst being there. I think my abilities grew substantially through all of them. Here are some projects that I got to wrap up before leaving town. So, now, I am in Sacramento. It has been three months now, and I believe I enjoy living here even more than I expected. Very friendly people, a beautiful tree laden town, and more convenience to travel and be close to friends and family. I am now tattooing at Legacy Tattoo, in East Sac. The shop is clean and has so much eye candy. The crew is really friendly and creative, and I have been welcomed with open arms. Come by, get a tattoo, and shoot the shit. I would be glad to have you.

LOts of things keeping me busy the past few months. Between tattooing and painting for the "Here be Monsters" show, it's been keeping me from keeping up to date on here. So here are a few phots of what I have been up to lately.

Enter the Turkey....

So San Francisco has been strange this past month. The Giants won the world series, and throughout that process, the shop was a bit slower than usual. I only did one Halloween tattoo, but it was fun.

It was also the first Halloween that my son could actually understand and appreciate it, so it was nice to get to relive the excitement through him. It was always my favorite holiday.

My buddy JD moved back to The City, and we started this hairy lady on him. I think it turned out well, and got to mess around with a few new tricks, courtesy of Chris Conn's seminar I took a couple weeks ago at the State of Grace convention. Chris was at the shop the other day and so I was fortunate enough to be able to show him it in person to hear his opinion about it. Thanks JD. Always a pleasure.

.....and lastly, here is the sheet of flash I am sending in for the Read Street Flash Trade 2010. I hope whoever gets it likes it.

Sugar!

I tattooed this sugarskull over a really bad scar the other day. He was born and raised in Mexico, where apparently arm wrestling is a very big sport amonst teenagers. The scar came from getting his arm broke in one of those matches, where the bone popped straight out of it. Ouch!

I love tattooing sugarskulls, and really enjoyed doing this one.

Here are a few more tattoos that I got to do recently that I had alot of fun with. The snake/skull and the lady on the ribs are healed. The Sacred Heart is brand spanking new. Enjoy!

first things first...........

So here is my first post. I've never been much for technology, but i guess I'll have to get used to it. Quite honestly, I'd be surprised if anyone stumbles upon this site.
This is a tattoo I did on a friend of mine who works next to the shop at the pizzeria. I did this a last month, and I am happy with how it turned out. A few things I would like to tweak on the next session, though. She has very strange skin, and doesn't normally heal very well, but this is healed after two weeks, and I think this is the best her skin has done with a tattoo.
I hope that you like it as much as she does.
