A good client of mine from San Francisco came to Charleston this past week to get tattooed. John is one of my favorites, and he always lets me run with it. He sat like a champ for about 7 hours on monday. I did a pumpkinhead tattoo on him. He is very much into horror movies, so this was a nice addition to his existing work.
His wife Laura is rad as well, and is very much a history buff, so the journey to Charleston was great for both of them. I went with them to tour Fort Sumpter the following day.
So far, making tattoos in Charleston is pretty fun. I'm already seeing some return clientel, which makes my days easier.

... of a new era
So, I will be leaving San Francisco and heading east, to sunny Charleston, South Carolina. I had a wonderful experience working with everyone at Body Manipulations, but it is time for me to move on. I can't thank them all enough for giving me such a pleasant experience.
From July onward I will be working and taking appointments at Holy City Tattoo in West Ashley. If you are in the lowcountry and looking to get tattooed, come see me.

Tigress
Working Trip
I went to Charleston, SC a couple weeks ago to tattoo at Holy City Tattoo. Good shop, if you are in the area, get some tattoos from these guys. Beautiful city, friendly people, great trip. I got to do some fun tattoos while there. Nate drove all the way from Philadelphia to get a vulture tattooed on his forearm. I am not a photographer, so this is what you get to see. I also tattooed an old high school friend Tim. He is very Irish. He bleeds whiskey. He got a Pooka in horse form.
I also tattooed a good friend, Mike, with a skull hat lady. Mike and I apprenticed together in Augusta, GA 8 years ago. Here they are, I had a lot of fun with these.
Also, a painting I did for Mr. Jason Eisenberg as a gift for hosting me.

Hey Sailor!
So Gavin from London contacted me back in december about his trip to San Francisco, and how he wanted a sailor lady tattooed while here. Since having so much time before he came out, I redrew the design about 15 times before deciding on the one I was happiest with. When he got to the shop, he was pretty excited about the design, and ready to go. He has some really nice work done, from his home of London at The Family Business Tattoo. If you are ever in London, check them out, good quality work. Thank you Gavin, if you see this. I had a lot of fun with this one.

Some recent tattoos
a few tattoos from the past few months. The tree has been a work in progress since november, but it is coming to a close. We have one more session, but it is massive, considering the roots wrap the hips and come to the top of his thighs. Thanks Robert for being a trooper.
The seamonster is finishing my most loyal of clients, Josh's forearm to finish out his right sleeve. I'm kind of going in a different direction with this one than my normal self.
The Triceratops is on a friend from LA. He couldn't decide what to get while here, but made a last minute decision, which I thought was hilarious.
Newsies....
LOts of things keeping me busy the past few months. Between tattooing and painting for the "Here be Monsters" show, it's been keeping me from keeping up to date on here. So here are a few phots of what I have been up to lately.
